Three steps to your protocol
From assessment to delivery — here's what the process looks like.
What to expect
Everyone responds differently to peptide therapy. Your GP will set realistic expectations during your consultation based on your individual health profile, goals, and starting point. Protocols are reviewed at 12 weeks to assess progress.
GP-prescribed. Australian.
Every weight management protocol through High Performance Human is reviewed and prescribed by a registered Australian GP. We operate within the TGA framework — no exceptions. Learn how our medical weight loss program in Australia works end to end.
- Your protocol is reviewed by an Australian-registered GP before you spend a cent

- Your health data is kept private and secure — no data sold or shared
Weight Management Protocol FAQs
These are the questions people ask most often before starting a weight management protocol. For anything not covered here, our full frequently asked questions page goes further, and your GP can address any clinical question specific to you during your consultation.
Do I need a prescription?
Yes. Any medication in a weight management protocol is a prescription-only medicine, supplied only after a registered Australian GP has reviewed your assessment and determined it is appropriate for you. There is no way to purchase a protocol without a valid prescription, and eligibility is assessed individually. If you want to understand why this regulated pathway matters, our guide comparing GP-prescribed peptides and the grey market explains the difference. For general background you may also find our overview of weight loss peptides in Australia useful.
How long before a review?
Your GP will typically review your protocol at around 12 weeks, and may schedule earlier check-ins depending on your circumstances. This review is where your doctor assesses how you are responding, discusses adjustments, and decides whether to continue. Because responses differ, the review keeps the protocol appropriate for you over time. Our overview of how the process works covers each stage from assessment to ongoing care.
What does it cost?
It's a single transparent once-off consult fee covering your telehealth GP consultation, with any prescribed medication billed separately at cost. We publish this openly on our pricing page so you can review it before deciding to proceed.
Is this protocol right for me, or another option?
Weight management is one of several protocols. If your goals lean toward energy and recovery, or healthy ageing, the Energy & Performance protocol or the Longevity protocol may be more relevant. You can compare them all on the protocols overview, and your GP will confirm which pathway, if any, fits your health profile.
Are peptides safe?
Peptides supplied through this service are prescription-only medicines dispensed by licensed Australian compounding pharmacies, and every protocol is medically supervised. Suitability depends on your individual health history, which is why a GP assessment always comes first.
