Three steps to starting your consultation
From booking to follow-up — here's what the process looks like.
What to expect
Everyone's starting point is different. Your GP will set realistic expectations during your consultation based on your individual health profile, goals and history, and will decide with you whether any treatment is appropriate. Care is reviewed with your doctor at regular check-ins.
GP-led. Australian.
Every Energy & Performance consultation through High Performance Human is with a registered Australian GP. Only your doctor decides whether any treatment is appropriate.
- You speak with an Australian-registered GP before anything is prescribed
- Any prescribed medicine is dispensed by a licensed Australian pharmacy
- Your GP remains available for follow-up and review
- Your health data is kept private and secure — no data sold or shared
Energy & Performance Care FAQs
Below are the questions people most often ask before starting. If yours isn't covered here, our full frequently asked questions page goes into more detail, and any clinical question can be raised directly with your GP during your consultation.
Will I be prescribed anything?
Not necessarily. Whether any treatment is appropriate is decided by the registered Australian GP you consult, after taking your history. Nothing is supplied without a valid prescription, and your doctor may recommend no medication at all. This is the same standard you would expect from any Australian medical practice, delivered through telehealth. You can read more about why a doctor-led pathway matters in our guide to doctor-led care versus unregulated sources.
How long before a review?
Your GP will usually arrange a review at around the 12-week mark, though your doctor may schedule earlier check-ins depending on your circumstances. This review is where your GP assesses how you are going, discusses any changes, and decides whether to continue. Because responses differ from person to person, the review is an important part of keeping your care appropriate for you over time. Our overview of how the process works walks through each stage from booking to ongoing care.
What does it cost?
It's a single transparent once-off consult fee that covers your telehealth GP consultation. If your doctor prescribes treatment, the pharmacy quotes the exact cost before anything is dispensed, and there is no obligation to proceed. We publish our consultation fee openly rather than holding it back for a sales call — you can see it on our pricing page before you book.
Is this the right area of care for me?
Energy & Performance is one of several areas of care. If your primary goals relate to skin and hair health or to healthy ageing, you may find Skin & Hair Health Care or Healthy Ageing & Longevity Care more relevant. You can see all of them on the areas of care overview. Whichever you choose, the consultation is the same: your GP takes your history and works out what, if anything, is appropriate for you.
Is treatment safe?
Any medicine your doctor prescribes is a prescription-only medicine dispensed by a licensed Australian pharmacy, and your care is medically supervised throughout. Safety depends on your individual health history, which is exactly why the consultation comes first. For a broader, plain-English explanation of the considerations involved, see our article on what Australians should know before starting any treatment.
