Longevity Protocol FAQs
These are the questions we hear most often from people considering a longevity protocol. For anything not covered here, our full frequently asked questions page has more detail, and your GP can address clinical questions specific to you during your consultation.
Do I need a prescription?
Yes. Longevity protocols are prescription-only medicines and are only supplied after a registered Australian GP has reviewed your assessment and judged them appropriate for you. There is no option to buy a protocol without a valid prescription, and eligibility is decided case by case. If you want to understand why this regulated pathway matters, our guide comparing GP-prescribed peptides and the grey market explains the difference.
How long before a review?
Your GP will usually review your protocol at around 12 weeks, and may arrange earlier check-ins depending on your situation. Because healthy-ageing goals are long-term by nature, these reviews are where your doctor assesses how you are tracking and whether any adjustments are warranted. Our overview of how the process works sets out each stage from assessment to ongoing care.
What does it cost?
It's a single transparent once-off consult fee covering your telehealth GP consultation, with any prescribed medication billed separately at cost. We publish this openly on our pricing page so you can review it before deciding to proceed.
Is a longevity protocol right for me, or another option?
Longevity is one of several protocols. If your goals lean more toward energy and recovery, or skin and hair quality, the Energy & Performance protocol or the Skin & Hair protocol may be more relevant. You can compare them all on the protocols overview, and your GP will confirm which pathway, if any, fits your health profile.
Are peptides safe?
Peptides supplied through this service are prescription-only medicines dispensed by licensed Australian compounding pharmacies, and every protocol is medically supervised. Whether a given protocol is suitable depends on your individual health history, which is why a GP assessment always comes first. For a broader explanation, read our article on whether peptides are safe and what Australians should know.
